i'm back to boston after a week in anaheim.
this was a great conference - i met some really nice people, heard some very inspiring speakers (tom peters - the guru of management) and came back with a lot of food for thought.
podcasting. i am SO going to get into this and buy myself a microphone and start podcasting. (if i put it in writing, it's like making a commitment right?) how fun would it be for you guys to log on here and listen to me as well as reading my blogs? like my own little radio show. ha ha. actually, i went to a session on this and this is the WAVE of the future and what all the students are doing/will be doing. so eventually i'd like to get this going for work purposes as well - but i'll start with my own little show. :)
it's a grey and rainy day here in boston. alex and i are going to hit the road for a mini-road trip in search of this perfect burger in connecticut. a reference to a previous blog, if this doesn't make sense. (jude, might give you a ring!) it's a steamed cheeseburger. we're going to meet one of his good friends who might drive up from new york. but otherwise, we've decided we'll just stop on the road whenever we want to make it more of an adventure. you know, like when you were a kid. but when you were a kid, you couldn't stop anywhere.
me: dad, can we stop for an ice cream?
dad: no.
me: why not?
dad: because i said so.
or
me: mom, can we stop at those outlet stores?
mom: no, we don't have time.
so this is going to be a YES-filled adventure. sadly though, as an adult, the idea of an ice cream in the middle of the day doesn't sound quite as appealing as it once did. and outlet shopping sounds dreadful. so i'm not entirely sure what kind of adventure we're going to have, but it will be fun. we are determined!
anyway, hope all are well and that the weather is better wherever you are.
congrats to my cousin kiersten on her graduation ... the card's in the mail! really!
